DAY 1 - DEPART HOMETOWN/TOKYO
Board your Singapore Airlines non-stop flight to Tokyo.
DAY 2 - ARRIVE IN TOKYO(B)
Upon arrival in Tokyo, transfer to your hotel for check-in.
DAY 3 - TOKYO(B/L)
Embark on a morning tour in this exciting metropolitan city, visit Meiji Shrine, nestled in a 175 acres tranquil forest in the heart of Tokyo, it is one of Japan's most famous Shinto shrines, dedicated to the spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, Empress Shoken. Drive by the National Diet Building to see the imposing Japanese Capitol (the House of Parliament) dominated by a massive central tower. Wander through one of the vast inner gardens of the Imperial Palace before heading to Sensoji, the oldest and most popular Buddhist temple in Tokyo. Browse through the Nakamise-dori shopping arcade, lined with many vendors offering typical Japanese souvenirs and traditional local snacks. Tour disbands on arrival at Ginza. The afternoon is free for further exploration, shopping or relaxation.
DAY 4 - TOKYO/ MT. FUJI/HAKONE (B/L)
Travel by coach to Mt. Fuji, Japan's highest mountain at 12,388 feet. Stop at the Fuji visitor center to see cultural art dedicated to Mt. Fuji. Stop at Mt. Fuji's fifth station at 7,607 feet and enjoy the view. After lunch, enjoy a boat ride across picturesque Lake Ashi, with amazing views from below of Mt. Fuji. Afterward, take a scenic cable car ride up Mt. Komagatake to the Owakudani volcanic valley, famed for its scenic views and hot springs.
DAY 5 - HAKONE/KYOTO/NARA/KYOTO (B/L)
At Odawara Station, board a shinkansen (Bullet train) to Kyoto, the ancient imperial capital of Japan. In the afternoon, travel to Nara, the first permanent capital of Japan. Visit Todaiji Temple and the Great Buddha, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, famous for its 3,000 lanterns, and Nara Park (Deer Park), home to hundreds of freely roaming deer. Return to Kyoto for a free evening.
DAY 6 -KYOTO (B)
In the morning, head out for sightseeing around Kyoto, visiting Kinkakuji Temple (the Golden Pavilion), Nijo Castle, and the Kyoto Imperial Palace. In the afternoon, tour Sanjusangendo Temple with its 1001 impressive statues of Buddha, the vermilion-hued Heian Jingu Shrine and Kiyomizudera Temple.
DAY 7 - KYOTO/TOKYO
Free at leisure until departure. Return to Tokyo by shinkansen (bullet train) in the evening. Arrive at Tokyo Station between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in.
DAY 8 - TOKYO DEPARTURE(B)
Transfer to the airport by airport limousine bus for your departure flight.
