Ryogoku, Tokyo is the town of sumo. Ryogoku is filled with sumo stables and restaurants catering to those involved in sumo.  You will watch the tournament at Japan's most famous Ryogoku Kokugikan. You will watch the grand tournament at the stadium filled with a lot of sumo fans.

At the end of the tour, you will enjoy Chankonabe lunch at a sumo-style restaurant. Chankonabe is a kind of stew commonly eaten by sumo wrestlers, so it is a local dish in this area. (4,500 JPY/person)
Afterwards, you can go back to the stadium to watch the tournament which lasts until evening.
Ryogoku Kokugikan holds tournaments three times a year in January, May, and September. If you are lucky to visit Japan this time, don't miss a chance to experience a real sumo match.
