Experience the diversity of Japan’s past and present in this compelling tour from its urban jungle to its heritage cities. Start in Tokyo, with a city tour that includes a visit to remarkable sites such as the Tokyo Tower, the Imperial Palace, Sensoji Temple and trendy shopping streets. Take in panoramic views in Mount Fuji before we head to the historic Hiroshima and Miyajima. We then continue to Osaka, Kyoto and Nara, cities that will give you an experience of Japan’s remarkable culture and traditions.

- 3 nights in a Superior Room at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo
- 1 night in a Standard Room at the Hotel Granvia in Hiroshima
- 1 night in a Japanese Room at the Hotel Miyarikyu in Miyajima
- 3 nights in a Standard Room at the Rihga Royal Hotel in Kyoto
- Transfers, meals, sightseeing tours and activities as specified in the itinerary

ITINERARY: (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner)
DAY 1-ARRIVE IN TOKYO
Arrive at Narita Airport, where you will be met by a representative to assist you in boarding an airport bus to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
DAY 2-TOKYO CITY TOUR (B/L)
Breakfast will be provided at the hotel. First, you will take in a panoramic view of Tokyo from the main observation platform of the Tokyo Tower. We will also visit the Imperial Palace, Asakusa and the hip and trendy Harajuku district.
DAY 3-TOKYO (B)
Today will be free at leisure.
DAY 4-TOKYO/HAKONE/HIROSHIMA (B/L)
Experience the magnificence of the center of mountain worship since ancient days, Mount Fuji. Enjoy the natural views of Hakone from a sky gondola and cruise across the peaceful Lake Ashi before boarding the train to Hiroshima. Upon arrival in Hiroshima, you will be met by a tour representative and escorted to your hotel.*Your main suitcase will be transferred directly from Tokyo to Kyoto.
Please leave your main suitcase at the bell desk by 7:30 am. (Please bring an overnight bag for your stay in Hiroshima).
DAY 5-HIROSHIMA/MIYAJIMA (B/L/D)
Discover the World Heritage sites of Hiroshima and Miyajima. Start at the Atomic Bomb Memorial Dome and Peace Memorial Museum to tour the remnants from the 1945 atomic bombing of the city. Then, travel to Miyajimaguchi, where you’ll board to a ferry bound for Miyajima, known since ancient times as the "Sacred Island." Explore the island as your guide details the history of the island’s iconic red Itsukushima Shrine, a red torii gate which appears to float on the water at high tide. Tonight, rest at a Japanese-style room in Miyajima.
DAY 6-MIYAJIMA/HIROSHIMA/OSAKA/KYOTO (B)
After breakfast at the ryokan, take the ferry and train to Hiroshima Station and continue to Osaka with your guide. In Osaka, you will tour the Umeda district, Osaka Castle and the world famous Dotonbori area filled with eateries and illuminated billboards. We continue to Kyoto by train and rest for the night.
DAY 7-KYOTO CITY TOUR (B/L)
Today, we will take you on a tour Kyoto’s divine temples and discover its history. You will be amazed by the Golden Pavilion, Kiyomizu Temple, Nijo Castle and the Gion district, the most famous geisha district in Japan.
DAY 8-KYOTO/NARA (B/L)
Today, travel to Nara. With eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites, it’s second only to Kyoto as a repository of Japan’s cultural legacy. Visit its shrines, temples and stroll through Nara Park, marveling at the hundreds of freely roaming deer. Return to Kyoto for a free evening.
DAY 9-KYOTO DEPARTURE (B)
Head to Kansai International Airport to begin your journey home, or continue to your next destination.
