Have breakfast at the hotel, and then start your day at Tsukiji Fish Market. This market handles the largest volume of fishery products in Japan. For lunch, get hands-on: experience making sushi.  After lunch, make some feline friends at one of Japan’s cat cafes. We will continue our food experience in Kichijoji for some grilled chicken skewers locally known as “yakitori”. Dinner is a memorable dining experience at a ninja-themed restaurant. You will be greeted at the discreet entrance by a ninja who guides diners through “ninja training,” creeping through a secret passage with a draw bridge and hidden doorways which leads to the dining area.

DAY 3

KAPPABASHI/KOMAGATA DOJO/MAID CAFÉ/ROBOT RESTAURANT/IZAKAYA (B/L/D)

We will start our day at Kappabashi, a district of stores selling everything from fake food, and bento boxes to menu holders, knives and bar stools. We will have lunch at Komagata Dojo, sitting on cushions at low tables. This establishment has been around a little over 200 years and serves authentic Edo cuisine. We will continue to Tokyo's electronics and otaku culture district of Akihabara and get a unique experience at a maid café. In the evening, we will continue to Shinjuku’s Robot Restaurant. More of a performance than an eatery, the show will assault your senses in a fun-filled hour of noise, light and kitsch. Before the night ends, get a taste of some sake or beer at an izakaya, which is a casual place for drinking and Japanese bar food.
