The Hokuriku shinkansen (bullet train) runs from Tokyo through Japan's central mountains, carrying passengers through the Japan Alps and to the fascinating cities of the Japan Sea side of the country. The Hokuriku shinkansen now allows Japanese and visitors to Japan alike to enjoy all Japan has to offer- from the capital in Tokyo to traditional villages in the countryside.

- Transfer: Round trip airport transfers by airport bus/van

Day 1 TOKYO (ARRIVAL)
Arrive at Narita (Tokyo International Airport)
You will be met by a NTA representative and helped to board an airport bus.
Transfer to hotel by bus.
Day 2 TOKYO - NAGANO
Make your own way to Tokyo Station. Take a bullet train to Nagano and change to a local non-reserved train for Yudanaka. From Yudanaka station, take a local bus to Kanbayashi-onsenguchi and 30min walk to Jigokudani snow monkey park. Transfer back to Nagano and visit Zenkoji Temple. Make your own way to your accommodation.
Day 3 NAGANO - UNAZUKIONSEN (D)
Take a bullet train to Kurobe-Unazukionsen and change to a local non-reserved
train for Unazukionsen. Enjoy Kurobe Gorge Train rides, while watching dynamic view of Kurobe Gorge. Make your own way back, and enjoy hot spring bath and traditional Japanese dinner at your ryokan.

Day 4 UNAZUKIONSEN - TAKAYAMA (B)
Transfer to Toyama by a local train and take a limited express train to Takayama. Enjoy sightseeing in Takayama on foot. Suggested sites: Yatai Kaikan /Jinya House / Kusakabe folk museum. Make your own way to your accommodation.

Day 5 TAKAYAMA - SHIRAKAWAGO - KANAZAWA
Make your own way to Takayama Bus Terminal and take a Nohi bus to Shirakawago. Enjoy sightseeing in Shirakawago Village. Suggested Sites: Gasshozukuri traditional farmhouse / Nagase House / Minka-en
Take a Nohi bus to Kanazawa. Upon arrival, make your own way to your accommodation
Day 6 KANAZAWA - YAMANAKA ONSEN (D)
Enjoy Sightseeing in Kanazawa using public transport.
Suggested Sites: Kenroku-en / Seison-kaku / Kaga Yuzen Traditional Industry Center / Omicho Market / Higashi Chaya-gai. Transfer to Yamanaka Onsen by bus. Enjoy walking Kakusenkei Gorge and open air bath viewing gorge.
Day 7 YAMANAKA ONSEN - KYOTO (B)
Take a local bus to Eiheiji Temple. After sightseeing, take a local bus to Tojinbo. Enjoy walking Tojinbo and back to Awara Onsen Station. Transfer to Kyoto by limited express train.
Day 8 KYOTO-OSAKA (DEPARTURE)
Transfer to Kansai International Airport by airport shuttle van. Pick up time is about 4 hours prior to the flight. Exact pick up time will be notified to you on Day 7.
